Mara Explorer has elevated the art of the African safari to new heights. This exclusive five-star camp, siMara explorer camptuated on a thickly forested river in the middle of the Maasai Mara reserve, offers guests the ultimate wilderness retreat, where you can watch elephants or giraffes drinking from the privacy of your verandah - or your own outdoor bathtub.

Mara Explorer is managed by Kenya's first Maasai lady manager, Tiito Mpetti, who also runs a community charity educating Maasai girls in her native Megwarra Village, to which she will happily invite interested guests.

Accommodation is in 10 tents decorated in distinctive 'Explorer' style with luxurious bathrooms with modern twin facilities and outdoor claw-foot bathtubs. Guests have personal tent attendants and can use radios for tent service.
